2HD post removed
22Dec09

I have removed a post from this site dated 18 December after receiving a letter from solicitors representing 2HD/NEWFM. The post referred to the response of several advertisers to the dismissal of Luke Grant from radio station 2HD.

I received information from reliable sources regarding the content of this post, however the station strongly disputes the allegations. If further information comes to light about advertiser reaction to Luke Grant’s departure I will reconsider, but for now I believe the best thing is to remove the post.

The removal of Luke Grant without proper explaination to the listening public is in very poor judgement and will reflect poorly on 2HD management, his popularity with the listening public cannot be questioned and there will be many who change to other radio stations myself included,1629 local will be my new station.Removal without notice must be a denial of natural justice and should give solid grounds for a wrongful dismissal case.Luke has the support of his listners and is very effective in his advertising promotions.2HD should rethink this stupid move.

I can’t understand why a readio station would sack members of staff for trivial misdiemeanors. Luke Grant was an important member of your group and now he has gone so will I be from your listening audience.
